Looking for a top notch health cover that will cover any and all medical needs, but from people on here that have experienced it for them selves please.

I don't mind the fee as long as they are reputable and pay out.

Some quibble or just don't payout using any excuse, even when you have been upfront and honest on the application forms.

So many dodgy ones out there hence me looking for people who have had good experiences and renewed for another year due to them honouring,  their side of the contract etc.

Thanks in advance.

Hello. I have used DKV for many years although only joining the forum recently. I could obtain health cover from the UK as very many do after reading into certain posts on this site (S1, people claiming  Benefits, misuse of Ehick and Ghick cards, etc etc etc).  as I am advanced in years. I have paid as many others obscene taxes over the years before moving and retiring to Spain. The United Kingdom is in enough trouble as she is due to the mismanagement of Government's over many decades hence my decision to abstain from further burdening the UK government. I have full Premium cover with no co-payments. Cost just shy of 230 euros per month. I use Imed Hospital in Elche. The last stay when i should have passed away approx a year ago ran up a 16,000 euro bill which was honoured by DKV with no quibbles what so ever. If I need help I have the assurance one telephone call to Imed or the private ambulance to collect me, no ques or appointments, nor a delay in being seen to. A private room with Air con or Heating, television, bathroom, internet if needed and a decent meal (Menu to chose from) and more than first class treatment with either Spanish or English speaking staff, I speak both. You have asked for an honest answer to your question. I have given this to you. The ball now lays in your court. DKV Telephone 976506000. My Regards. R.

Wow, thats a great reply, thank you so much!

May I also ask is DKV a Spanish company?

The reason I ask is that, part of my Visa conditions is, (I have been told)  that the Health package I go with must be Spanish based and not a UK company or any other country it must be Spanish.

Thanks again.

Hello. Yes DKV is a Spanish company. It may be slightly more expensive than others however one has no comeback with this company, certainly I never have. They have always stood by me with no quibbles what so ever. This year they even gave me a 150 voucher to spend on what ever I like. Its not the monetary value but going that little extra for there customers which in my opinion many companies lack in today's world. Regarding your visa conditions, one of the stipulations I would think would be a Health Insurance Policy with NO- CO- PAYMENTS, so make sure your policy has this included. Do not be fooled into thinking the policy has to be paid up front for a year, not so. If you agree to proceed you are legally entering into a yearly 12 month renewable contract (if you so wish) with the health  insurance company which would be accepted within your visa conditions thus avoiding the Lump some of monies upfront if that makes it easier for you without sounding rude or pompous. I have lived in Spain for quite some time, enjoy as they say, the people, food, weather, places to visit are varied and lovely. Sincerely, R.

This is a great reply for anyone looking for health insurance in Spain, you can not beat a true Testimonial from a person that has experienced a product for themselves.

Thank you!
