It depends which part of Cabo Roig you are staying. Beach side of the N332, La Regia or in Lomas de Cabo Roig and also what your interests are.

As a regular you’ll already know that during the daytime the strip is extremely quiet, so if you’re wanting to meet people  during the day then you’ll need to look  a little inland at the expat areas, Most of the bars host all sorts of different groups.

There’s also the U3A group based in Torrevieja

Make sure  that your rental has heating and that you bring warm clothing with you as the evenings are quite chilly in December.

You’re in an ideal position for a good choice of bars restaurants  for your evening entertainment, but the vast majority don’t open until 6pm, so you’ll have to venture further afield during the day. Obviously at that time of year, you won’t be able to use the pool, but you should still be able to swim in the sea.
Probably your nearest bowls clubs are  Cheers Bar on the San Miguel  road and at The Emerald Isle in La Florida.

Both the Laughing Leprechaun (beneath your apartments) and Milo’s are usually open all day if you ask in those bars they’ll give you information on where to find things locally. The staff in Milo’s are very helpful.
Normally you’ll find bars holding Spanish lessons during the day, so that’s where you’ll need to head inland. But to be honest since covid I’ve not seen that many places adverting classes. You could probably get  some private one to one classes, but I’m not sure you’d get the chance to practice it much in the Cabo Roig locality.

Lots of things to see  in the area but if you want someone else to drive both Rosas Tour’s and Davids Coaches operate in the area. Their day trip timetable usually changes around mid September, so check on line for up to date information. Great time of the year for sightseeing as the daytime temperatures are usually around 20-25C, so the weather’s ideal and there’s not too many tourists around.
