This has happened to a lot of people, not just with medication but with lots of goods.

There are import regulations on goods from non EU countries which have held packages up and in a few cases resulted in non delivery.

If your husband is on holiday he should go to a Farmacia and explain his position. They may dispense or they may require you to make an appointment with a Doctor first.

However if your husband is resident he should register with a Doctor and have his medication dispensed here in Spain.

Without reading pages of T&Cs, did UPS know that the package contained prescription medication? Secondly, is there a reason your husband cannot get the medication in Spain?

I'm more than happy to be corrected but my initial thoughts are that the movement of prescription medication would be  rigorously controlled.

I   was  visiting   Punta Prima   recently   doing  some  research   about  moving  to Spain,   and  I  have  some  medical  issues  so  went  to  Pharmacy   and  just   give  them  a  list  of  my  Medication,   and  they  Handed   it  out,  put  I  had  to  pay  for  Medication    and  was  Happy   to  do  so  as  had   forgotten   some,  Not too  expensive

Hope  this  helps

Excerpt from the post office rules and regs.

https://www.postoffice.co.uk/mail/what-can-i-send

"Prescription medicines and drugs sent for scientific or medical purposes - non toxic and non flammable including asthma inhalers.

May only be sent by, or at the specific request of, a qualified medical practitioner, registered dental practitioner, veterinary surgeon, registered nurse or a recognised laboratory or institution.

Prescription medicines and drugs sent for scientific or medical purposes - toxic, flammable or toxic and flammable.

International - Not allowed in the mail."

The above effectively prohibits the mailing of prescription medicines by individuals both within the UK and abroad.

Can be a risky business too as there are medicines which are available in UK but which may totally banned in another country and being caught with them can lead to very serious consequences.

Anyone remember the case a few years ago of a girl who somehow bulk bought Tramadol and took them to her boyfriend in Egypt!

I get mine posted from the uk every month, including after Brexit. Never had a problem just use ordinary post not couriers, as they always seem to have customs issues. You just indicate it’s medicines on the postal declaration.

If you are resident on what basis are you receiving medicines from the UK?

Mind you’re own business.
