Hi all my sister and her husband were mugged at gunpoint on Calle Esmeralde, Cabo Roig a month ago on their way home from the strip at 10oc. Neither of them drink, so completely sober. One man held them up and one in a getaway car. Be careful

They will be long gone by now. You should have posted this a month ago.

Well let’s hope no one else has been mugged over this period in time.

Hello

I presume all this and  more  facts /descriptions/car details etc  was reported to the Guardia Civil.

When firearms are involved this is a serious crime but your post seems rather casual.

Cheers

I sometimes wonder if these post are real or just exagerated stories. Maybe someone jumped out a car and grabbed a bag, but a gun on a busy street at 10 o'clock? Someone else had a post about squatters breaking in, assualting them and the police arrived took the owner away and left the squatters in the house. Sounds a bit strange. 🤔.                    Maybe too much wine.

It most definitely is not an exaggerated post  My sister and her husband were held up by gunpoint and yes on a busy street.  They are very traumatised. All details were given to the police.

My first thoughts that there must have been plenty of witnesses at 10 pm in Cabo Roig,  but isn’t Calle Esmeralda a quiet street in La Zenia near the Leroy Merlin trade warehouse. How awful, had they been followed all the way from the strip?

Hi coming home from the strip a guy got into a car being driven by someone else and it took off with no lights on. It drove slowly in front them and then turned the corner and  disappeared from view. On their way up Calle Esmeralde a guy came out from a side road on his phone. He passed them by and then turned and pointed a gun at them and told her to give him her bag. It was a part of the road which is badly lit but my sister recognised the man as the one who got into the car earlier. There are usually a good few people sitting outside at 10oc at night but not many were out that night. When she screamed for help some people came out and the guy ran to the car which was parked outside no. 5, a house that is presently being used by squatters. The cars engine was running and it sped away. The squatters were sitting outside. She asked them if they had seen the muggers but they said they have no English. All details have been given to the police.
