Hello - we have only lived here part time for a while and are interested to know of any places of interest to visit - drive to - walk to around Cabo roig area. We love the coastal walks around here and are enjoying the beautiful beaches. We also went to Los Montisinos the other day for a traditional Spanish lunch at Rincon de Miguel which was truly amazing and have enjoyed Los Pagan and the nature reserve round there - any other suggestions would be great if around here or inland that people have enjoyed visiting/walking round/eating at etc?

Kind thoughts

Marie 🤗

Far too many to mention on here. There’s lots of local websites to help you.

A quick Google of local places to visit - will keep you occupied for hours.

Lots of YouTube videos - have a quick look for Eurotourguides  and they also have an excellent website detailing local events.

Also quite a few apps for Alicante and Murcia tourist information.

visit the local tou information offices for information - Look for Alicante, Elche ,Cartagena, Santa Pola, etc etc

There’s some beautiful parks in the region, Pinar de Campoverde, Guardamar, Torrevieja, La Mata, Guardamar, Rojales, Benijofar El Hondo, The Clot etc etc.

There are lots of cave houses nearby - Try the Rojales  ones when they their monthly craft market.

The beautiful church and the area around Novelda  are worth a visit.

Another way of visiting is to go on a coach trip at fiesta time and then you can revisit at your own leisure.

Trips for Three Kings, Semana Santa, Moors & Christians etc.

I bought some guide books over 5 years ago and we’re still working our way through them

Lots more North of Alicante  - I guess you’ve been to Guadalest as that usually the first place people visit ———- and lots more South of Cartagena.
