while the pandemic is preventing travel to Spain, has anyone cut off their electric supply? What would be the implications of cost and time to reconect?

If you cut off supplies, reconnection can cost you a bunch including a a through check if your wiring still meets actual requirments. I would not recommend this.

I agree with Killjoy. The reconnection costs would probably outweigh your current standing charges. Plus the hassle of having to get your electrics inspected prior to connection etc. Could you speak to your provider and see if you can be moved to a tarif which has the lowest monthly costs? Hopefully it wont be too long before you can travel again.

Hi Sping,

For the reasons already given I think it would be wise to let things ride for a few months and see how the Pandemic situations unfolds .

A few more months standing charges are worth paying and then review the situation from Spring onwards.

Hope that helps.
