Hi, Our first electric bill from Iberdrola shows a Gas Price Cap (Tope precio del gas) of 88€ but we don't have gas at all at our apartment as none is supplied to this urbanisation (playa Golf 2) in Lomas de Cabo Roig. Can anyone explain why this is on the bill, please?

From my understanding it is in respect of the cost of gas used to generate electricity

Thanks Steph.  That seems to explain it, except my bill says my electricity has been generated entirely by renewable energy - but gas isn't renewable?

From experience, we found the staff in the Iberdrola office at La Zenia (close to roundabout McDonalds) really helpful and gave us good advice regarding best deals and plans. Spoke excellent English too

That sounds like good advice. I've translated the bill but a few things are still puzzling

Did you visit the Iberdrola Office and did the staff there help you to understand what the Gas Price Cap was and why it was added to your bill?  It would be nice to get close out with your issue, as Iberdrola bills have a complicated set of add on charges and it would be useful to get a better understanding of them.

Hi, not due back in Spain for a few weeks so can't give you any feedback yet. Will visit the Iberdrola office as soon as I can and post on this site. I get my bills by email and can log on online too.
