Does anyone know how the DGT value a car from the uk. Its says 17% tax of car value, is this the uk value or dpanish vslue is it new price or used priced based on their estimation. On top of that is 10% plus 21% VAT?

It's no longer as cheap as it once was and it would probably be better to buy a Spanish car with the steering wheel is on the correct side for the road. 2nd hand car values have risen in the UK and it may be better to sell before arriving in Spain.

I used Spanish Number Plates when I put my UK car onto Spanish lates in 2019, faultless service. I am not sure if it is economical to bring a UK car over now but give SPN a call to ask about the procedure and costs,then you can decide.

By the way, I have driven a RHD car here for a total of 4 years, no issues, can be a nuisance at car parks when you have to take a ticket but nothing major.

Used car values have risen significantly in Spain also so don't bank on offsetting what you might get in UK against buying a car here.
