First time in Calpe advice required

Hi all,
Me and my wife will be visiting Calpe this May 19-26 for the first time and are really looking forward to it. We have provisionly booked a weeks stay in the Melior-1 complex and was wondering if I have chose well !! In regards to proximity to bars, supermarkets, and most importantly is there any building work currently going one within the area ? All advice would be greatly appreciated. Oh and is the weather ok then !!!
