Apart from beaches, which I know are going to be lovely, what is there for kids to do?

Three young kids, two adults visiting Calpe for  the first time and staying in a rental property, is there plenty to occupy the kids? Are there any parks, theme parks etc? And kid friendly restaurants and cafes? We are so looking forward to visiting this area and it will be the first time the three kids have been to Spain.

Maybe google the area search things to do. What may suit others may not be your cup of tea and vice Versa .

Terra Natura zoo and Terra Mitica theme park just inland from Benidorm aren't far away.  You'll find really good parks and playgrounds in residential areas everywhere in Spain, far more of them and better equipped than in the UK.

I don't think Terramitica will be open.

The sea and unheated pools will be too cold for swimming but kids enjoy the beach at any time of the year.

Thank you. That sounds really good. Our first thoughts were not to hire a car but what you have just written, I would think a car is a must. I haven’t been to Benidorm since, dare I say it, the 1970s, and really liked it then, I presume it is the same but much bigger, busier and louder? Hopefully, Benidorm isn’t too far from Calp so we can take advantage of all the attractions there. Thank you once again
