Not likely until they are able to replace the cars they sold during lockdown.

More likely to be going up than down unfortunately.

The big companies sold off large chunks of their fleets during the pandemic and are now struggling to replace them so it comes down to supply and demand with the former being pretty static and the latter rising.

The small independent who tend to run older cars will be booked solid probably to at least the end of Summer if not to longer.

They’re mostly sold out. I hired one off Centauro last week as ones I normally use were all out of them. They had a 25% off promo making it €295 for the week plus €99 for fuel with a return on unused fuel. There’ll be nearly nothing available for the summer July & August

And the worldwide shortage of computer chips, which is affecting the ability of manufacturers to build new cars, is likely to last well into 2023.
