Will be moving to Castalla shortly but was wondering where the nearest dog friendly beach is

Hi there from what I've heard they don't like dogs on the beach which i totally agree with especially this time of year in Spain not only because of the mess as not everyone cleans up also there are children and when it's warm dogs get snappy kids should be able to run free without parents panicking I know not all dogs are snappy I've had dogs myself but they are animals and very unpredictable. My opinion is keep dogs off the beach for various reasons . I think you will get a big fat fine if caught or reported Maybe take them to a stream/river if it's water you want.? There's lots of walking you can do in Spain.

Hi Tompo,

In recent years a few dog friendly beaches have opened up on the Costa Blanca and off the top of my head I can think of one in between Santa Pola and Gran Alacant, one on the outskirts of Alicante and one in El Campello. The exact names of these beaches escapes me, but if you want me to find out, just let me know. Of course out of season, so between October and Easter, even though it's not 100% legal you will not have a problem taking your dog to the beach....
