We are buying a villa in Castalla International and would welcome any advice or information on clubs and activities to enjoy whilst living in the community. Are there any boules (pétanque) clubs or village green bowling clubs around the area where they would welcome us to play?

My wife enjoys art and I enjoy all aspects of angling, are any clubs existing in any of these activities.

Any information on language classes would also be welcome. We have heard that the town hall provides Spanish lessons, has anybody any extra information on these i.e. how to enroll, costs, when they are undertaken?

Finally, which restaurants in the area do people recommend?

Hi Keith,

I'm not in your area, so I'm afraid that I can't answer your questions.  However, your post reminded me of another member who posted last week, asking about the significant solar farms proposed to surround Castalla International:

https://mccasa.eu/greenwashing-in-spain-as-solar-farms-replace-concrete-blocks#:~:text=If%20the%20project%20goes%20ahead,by%2023km%20of%20high%20fence.

It may not concern you, but hopefully your lawyer has made you aware of this as part of the buying process.

Kind regards,

Kim
