Has anyone heard about the ITV station failing 20 years old plus cars for just being old, even though there is nothing wrong with them. We have a 1999 Ford Focus 1800 diesel with 72000 Km on the clock which we bought new, which is used when we are in Spain. Our son who is Spanish took his friends 1996 Ford Escort for its ITV at Denia and they would not even test it, saying it was to old to be tested.

We have a 23 year-old Honda.
It has been passing its ITV test every year since we brought it here (and re-registered it) from the UK.
