Hey Kelvin1960,

mmmm ok, I am in a tad different situation, as we have just moved to our permanent residence from a rented place.

So I am hoping it will not cause a problem that our padron is a different address than what it states on the residence card of which was our old address.

We were not asked for our padron, as our address had not changed since we gained Residencia

Exactly as it should have been but hitherto it hadn't stopped the staff at the Alicante immigration office demanding a padron regardless.

Good to hear that they have been brought to heel.

Hi MORF,

Is the Padron that you have with your new, current address, less than 3 months old?  If so, it shouldn't be a problem.

Kind regards,

Kim

You forgot to mention a photo but are you saying that Alicante has dropped the demand for a padron?

We didn’t need a renewed padron as our address was the same

Hello Morf

I answered the O.Ps question regarding obligation,  however on a personal level I am in the process of exchanging mine...part one done a few weeks ago & now awaiting  further fingerprint check & collection of my card.

It was mentioned to me at Torrevieja Town hall when I collected my digital signature 2 weeks ago, the lady said  it was good that I was doing it now because they won't issue digital certificates , from January, without a TIE......I had provided my passport as proof of I.D.

Good luck with getting your exchange done.

Cheers

G’day elinspain,

You mention that you are in the process of changing your residencia card / document over to a TIE.

Are you doing this yourself or are you using a Gestor? The reason I ask is that I have come up against a problem getting an appointment- I was advised by a Gestor that the only persons selling appointments for 200€ are the Spanish mafia at present?

Don’t mind me asking but how did you get your first appointment within the system?

Thank you

Hi Denver,

I did the same as you, I think it's pretty easy for EX-23 residency to TIE swaps.  The people I feel sorry for are the first-time EX-20 applicants, who are impacted by the 31 December Brexit deadline.

Hi Elinspain,

Congratulations on getting your TIE!

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim

Thank you, it's a relief to get it collected  & ticked off the 'things to do' list.  It was also very quiet their  at 1pm, just 5 people inside the gate waiting,  so back home before  2pm.....It does appear later collection time is best .
