We purchased a country house in December which had 3 young feral cats.  In January we trapped and neutered them .  We’re not actually living at the property yet but We did pop over at begining of May and found a new cat with 3 kittens, sadly they all disappeared whilst we were there?  Since then we have been watching the security cameras and noticed several ‘new “ cats plus the mother of the original kittens appears injured... Is there any local charities we can contact to help with the growing community of feral cats at our property?    We paid €900 to trap and neuter the original cats however we can’t afford to keep doing this plus we’re really concerned for the injured cat we saw on camera ?  Any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear about an injured cat.

I don't live anywhere near there but there must be an animal sanctuary/welfare organisation somewhere close by. How to contact them,  no idea I'm afraid. Town Hall may help, do you know any neighbours nearby who might know?

Luckily in my village we have gato lady!

Thank you for your ideas.   Our house is rural and we think most the cats go between the few houses nearby (older Spanish owners).   We’re not actually living there yet (still in London trying to sell up)   Every time we visit the Spanish house there’s more cats !   Obviously we can’t keep trapping and neutering incase they belong to people (Plus it’s expensive).  I believe there’s a dog sanctuary not to far away so will call them tomorrow and see if they know any cat charities.   I feel so sorry for the little injured cat we keep seeing in the security camera,  we can’t see if she’s broken her leg or has a nasty infected wound.
