I have not been to Spain since late 2020 but travelling today. I have a negative PCR test and unvaxxed. Does anyone know the rules the UK has for returning. I will use Ryanair so I believe I will need a Spainish PCR test for return to the UK? Also have the day 2 and 8 UK tests been removed as several sites seem to have outdated and differing information?

There are no more COVID entry requirements in the UK. You can enter the UK whether you are vaccinated or not.
You no longer need to show a valid NHS vaccination certificate to enter the UK.
You no longer need to fill out a passenger locator form within 48 hours prior to your flight back to the UK.
You no longer need to book and take a COVID test upon arrival to the UK.
There is no quarantine either.

Really? I thought I needed at least a test to board the Ryanair flight John? Are you sure you are not talking about vaxxed travellers as I am not vaxxed. Cheers!

Hi,
John is correct, they do not ask about covid vaccination status or require pre-travel testing, see attached from UK Gov website.

That's great. Still wondering if Ryanair have their own policy regarding boarding, maybe a lat flow test?

This is the link to Ryanair. My understanding is that you need to follow the rules of the country you are entering in order to board the aircraft, in your case the UK.

Definitely no test required to return to UK. Ryanair app does ask you to load Covid paperwork when you check in but you 100% do not need to do anything, regardless of vaccine status. Are you aware you need the Spanish landing form for when you arrive in Alicante? Not that they seem to be bothering even looking at them anymore judging by my last few trips.
