DOes any one know if glasfiber internet is available in Crevillente?

Planning to buy a finca, but dont want to go backwards from glasfiber what I have now in Holland to ADSL.

So I am currious about the availablility of glasfiber. Specially for Finca's

5G wireless data would be a good and cheap alternative. At this time offered by Movistar and Vodafone only - more to follow.

I am not interested in a mobile system. I have a WiFi alarm and camera system I want to install so I need a router in my finca.

Do what the rest of us in the campo do and have satellite internet. No, it’s not perfect and can play up depending on weather conditions, ie very hot or torrential rain. However, it’s usually fairly stable and reliable. Pay for a higher speed than the basic couple of levels as they won’t be satisfactory. I think the possibility of fibre being available to a finca in the campo may  be remote.

Hi Peter, we have Aeromax, whom, I believe are based in Crevillente. I do know that several people on this forum say they have had really poor experience with them. However, our system was installed by a reputable local agent who advised not to choose the least expensive tariffs. Whenever there has been an outage, it is usually fixed within a few hours, except for the scorchingly hot weather a couple of weeks ago, when it went off for 24 hours before they could fix it. I am sorry, but I don’t have their phone number to hand, but there is obviously a website, they have multilingual staff. As to which services you can access, you would have to ask them. We have a separate satellite system for tv programmes and which you can access is dependent upon the alignment of the dish. The same local firm installed both systems for us, but we aren’t in Crevillente, so don’t know anyone local.

Hope this helps

Hi Peter,

I don't know where in the campo you want to buy. We live in the campo

We have since july 2019 wifi by Crevinet first satelitte untill the a few month's ago and we then changed to fiber.

Look at the website www.crevinet.com and phone them and ask for Luis. Their office is in the center of Crevillente,

Carrer Vila 2. If anything doesn"t work well they react fast and solve the problem.

We are from Holland as well, if you want more info maybe we can help just send a private email

Greetings, hartelijke groet

Hi,

We are still orientating where to settle. We will go first week of sept to Crevillent and visit a few finca's.

In Holland I have glasfiber and I know that crevillent is also busy with installing glasfiber. Since I have in Holland a alarm and camera system based on wifi, I I need to have somethng to set up a wifi network. Either via a glasfiber router or as some suggested based on a Satellite router.

Personally I believe ADSL is too slow. (we are also a bit spoiled in Holland)

So in our final desicion which finca we will buy, also the availability of glasfiber (internet) is part of that desicion.

Succes, Cableworld is also installing fiber network in Crevillente. Welcome to Crevillente and enjoy you stay in September.
