Statue of GuanYin for sale.
Guan Yin is not a Buddha but Pusa (or Bodhisattva).
Guan Yin is a goddess of mercy and compassion.
"She who observes all the sounds of the long-suffering world" - that is the meaning of the name GuanYin. The title of pusa (or bodhisattva) refers to a rank of spiritual attainment.
The wooden statue is from 18th century (I had a paint test done and it stated that the paint is from 1850-1860 but I have misplaced it while moving from Australia to Spain).
The Figurine was bought by me in 2002 in Sydney from art and antique dealership Red Star Asia.
Dimensions: 123cm high and +-70cm at the base.
