Hi Sarah,

Presumably your father has residency and is already registered with his local health centre?  Are his personal details up to date on the Padron and does he have a Spanish mobile?  In this region, vaccination of 80+ age group started a couple of weeks ago, so if he hasn't been contacted, he probably needs to contact his health centre.

Kind regards,

Kim

Yes they are both registered, residents for many years, on padron etc. They contacted their GP today and have managed to book a telephone appointment for 2 weeks time. If they haven’t heard by then they will ask their GP. My Dads never been to the doctors in their 21 years in Spain, so he’s also updated their contact details online, they updated it with a mobile number. So fingers crossed they may get contacted. Where I am, you go online and make your own appointment as soon as your age group or category opens. 😃

I received a text on mobile for the astra zeneca vaccine on Wednesday in Denia,  my husband is 75 and he has not been contacted yet whereas I have I'm 62.

If you have a sip card number you can visit  www.san.gva.es/astra  update your details, There is a form to fill in  with your sip card number, mobile etc.

They are giving vacination to 60 - 65 at present due to the side effects of astra zeneca and have stopped giving to older patients.  It will be the moderna vaccine or pfizer for over 65 years.
