Apartment for two in summer '17

We're looking forward to booking a week to ten days in Dénia next summer. We'll be flying from Gatwick or Bristol to whichever airport is most convenient for civilised timings and taking a taxi from there. I love Spanish culture and study Spanish every day, and we're looking forward to exploring the area for the first time.
Magic wand time: a few years from retirement, and a holiday home there!
Any tips on the first visit are welcome!
