Hola

We have owned our property here in Costa Blanca for a few years now  and see this place as our home and final destination. We have been expating Internationally around the globe for the last 20 years with work and now looking to settle into our home and continue working here for another 10-15 years.

With a UK fully Skilled apprenticeship, Stone mason, brick and block work back ground, I  immigrated to Australia where I honed my  carpentry and general all round practical building skills before I furthered my professional career with tertiary education in construction management, where after several years in self employment and sub contracting to supervising and project management roles I have been game-fully employed with leading international companies in Australia, Middle East, India, Laos and British Virgin Islands.

Active and self-starter I am  looking to apply myself in the local construction industry here on Costa Blanca and nearby areas if required, either as tradesman or in the supervisor capacity, along with my own drone I undertake construction site progress videos and pictures if required.

With a wealth of knowledge in design, consulting, civil and architectural construction, I pride myself  on building  strong customer and client relationships, based on integrity, reliability, diligence, strong ethically  and backed by a proven successful career.

My Spanish is presently very basic but currently enrolled in classes and working constantly to improve and fit in with the local community, with strong passions for cycling and sailing, I would be happy and relish  the opportunity to show my worth before expecting any commitments.

I look forward to your comments and thoughts and would appreciate any leads or contacts anyone could forward me, happy to forward my CV and speak personally regarding any interest.

regards

Roger Walters

Be careful using your drone for construction site progress and videos. Thats classed as commercial work in Spain. Only an AESA registered operator may use a drone for commercial purposes. Any use of a drone as part of a business is classed as commercial. The drone can only be flown by a qualified drone pilot.

I’m an AESA registered drone operator. It involves Passing an LAPL medical. 60 hours theory training and 2 hours flight training to become a certified drone pilot. Then a lot of official paperwork to be approved as a registered operator. Operations manual, training flights, safety manuals and keeping flight records.

If you have an interest in Drones it’s worthwhile sitting the exams and becoming an operator. The exams and paperwork are in Spanish. My Spanish language skills are basic and the exams are multiple choice. So it possible to recognise the question answers in Spanish. Once you have passed the initial language barrier most of the people you deal with have good English language skills. English is the international language of pilots.

You could take your civil construction and architectural skills and offer a site survey and ongoing construction service. Language should not be a barrier, most professional Spanish speak English. All you need is basic Spanish language.

PS: If you have a UK PfCO qualification it’s not recognised by AESA.

Thanks and I appreciate your comments.regarding the use of a drone commercially, I will look into the course, exams and relative paper work that goes with it to meet all legal requirements and get my license.
