Hi!

I’m wanting to move me and my 2 daughters to Denia, probably next year as I want it properly planned and I know that takes time! I’m after some advice on the process in doing this now we have left the EU, is it still actually possible? I imagine it will be much harder but I’m hopeful it’s still do able? Any advice at all would be amazing!
my 12 year old daughter is autistic and is home educated, my youngest is almost 2. I work from home and am self employed, I think that makes a difference. Any advice on what steps to take and if this is possible is greatly appreciated.

thank you!

M

Hi,

If you have a UK passport:

Firstly, since Brexit, you will need to apply for a visa to be able to move to Spain.

There are several types of visa, non lucrative visa (Normally applied for by retired people) means that you will not be allowed to work.

There are income and healthcare requirements attached to the application of visas.

A work visa will allow you to work but must be sponsored by a prospective employer. You will need to find a job and ask the employer to sponsor you with a work visa. The employer will need to prove that there is no EU citizen to fill the position.

Spain has very high unemployment rates and it would be difficult to find work unless you have an exceptional talent to offer.

If you are successful with your visa then you can move over to Spain and apply for residency.

Please ask if you need any more information.

Why not post publicly so that all can benefit?

Is that not the point of the forum?

Thanks for telling me.

Is there an applicable rule, or a list of prohibited "information" that I can peruse, just to make sure that I don't post anything in these categories?
