As part of the process of buying your property your solicitor should have arranged contracts for both and set up direct debits for payments, then you can register to use both utilities Virtual Offices online where you can go paperless for your bills, much more and miss nothing.

Just email or phone your solicitor/Abagado and ask if these are set up. They should put your mind at rest. It's part of the conveyance job for them to sort this out for you.

Hi,

The other comments are quite correct.

My first few bills from Iberdrola arrived as expected then nothing for a couple of months?

My solicitor then contacted me to say someone else had paid 2 months of my bills due to a mix up with Iberdrola and would I be so kind to make a bank transfer to this person? Never directly contacted by Iberdrola.

Things can go wrong, maybe someone has paid your utilities 🤔
