Hi there, 'normally' we should be arriving tomorrow and I seem to remember that there was an announcement of roadworks on the N332 last year. As I don't have Facebook I can't access the N332 Facebook page - can anyone tell me if there are still roadworks on the N332 and if there is a diversion where is it! thanks !

There are no problems on the 332 to el campello. The only roadworks are the ones at the airport junction that have been going on for a while, widening the road. Just watch out for the Alicante turn off as the sign is quite small at the moment so easy to miss, otherwise you're on your way to Torrevieja 🙄.

Thanks - thankfully the promised roadworks near the tunnel didn't seem to have started yet. And what a shock to see how quiet Alicante airport was - first time arriving at airport in 18 months - eery. Excellent checks on QR code upon landing - very well organised followed up by an email. If only every country followed the same protocol!
First time I hired a car (no gps - just my smartphone) phone sort of died and I headed off south rather than north- managed to pull in somewhere (still have no idea where) and find my way back! You definitely have to keep your eyes open !

Was that the alicante junction that's so well hidden. If you miss that you head towards Murcia..main thing is you arrived safely 👍. Still a bit quiet around Campello but San Juan playa seems quite busy today.

Yes it was first time driving from Airport - phone gps didn't help - went all quiet! headed off in the completely wrong direction... definitely remember the right exit since! Thankfully that was 3 years ago - so have gotten my bearings.. Airport still eerily quiet this time.
We haven't ventured into El Campello - just trying to settle down and walked along Playa Muchavista towards San Juan... was definitely busy there yesterday but busier there today - no doubt due to it being Sunday.. But most people are wearing masks - which is something! Wind would definitely clear any cobwebs!!
