Hi me and my wife have been holidaying in an apartment in Raspieg for over nearly 40yrs, and for a lot of years we have been to the Dutch owned restaurant Al Algria just past La Grana, we have heard that it has been sold, has anyone got any information on who has bought it and what type of restaurant it's going to become, I also heard that La Villa is up for sale another one of our favorite places. We have missed out 3 holiday's since the Covid crisis and are hoping that we get there this October.

Hi

Covid has caused a lot of disrupt for everyone and many businesses have gone by the way. I can't help with info for your queries but just in case you didn't know, if you used to come for long stays before Brexit, since January you will only be allowed to visit for upto 90 days in 1 go, and can't return until a further 90 days has passed. Apologies if you know this already and may you get your next holiday soon.

Regards

Pauline

Hi Pauline thanks for the reply, I did know about the 90days but we normally have 2 x 4weeks holiday's March and October. Just a real shame that so many restaurants/bars are shutting at least one of our favorite bars La Nao on the front in Campello is still open

Hi, we, Alex and Maureen dined there on its last night.  The lady owner in particular was quite upset, so we didn't impose with questions.  Lovely meal and service. By the by we were in La Nao last night - always a great wee bar with friendly owners.   Lived here, Coveta Fuma, almost 4 years now and even through the pandemic with its restrictions it has still been a pleasure.

Hi Alex & Maureen bar Nao is a great little bar perfect if you just want a drink, I keep in touch with Camilo on WhatsApp. We will certainly miss The Dutch bar been using it since it first opened and very handy only a 10 minute walk for us I knew it was for sale before the Covid crisis just hope it stays as a restraunt. Fingers crossed we get over in October but I have my doubts.
