Passenger Locator Forms

I can't help you in Bilbao but I've just discovered this myself this morning when booking a flight for someone. Absolutely ridiculous! It should make no difference when the locator form is filled in. Talk about making it difficult for no reason. 

You fill it in online and download the qr code to your phone. You don't need a printed copy.

After you complete the form you will receive a QR code via email. You can print this out or show it on your phone as proof of completion.

It's awful having to do it 48 hours before you arrive in UK. We are on the ferry for 24 hours so it's nearly impossible for us ! We've got to sort out our storage in the UK or we wouldn't go. I think we're leaving late for the hotel near Madrid now so we can complete the forms. I don't know that I can cope with the QR code bit and the uncertainty.  Rather have it completed before we go. Thanks for the advice ! 

We are leaving Portsmouth Wednesday evening and the ferry arrives in Bilbao Friday morning, Spain also want the form completed no more than 48 hours before arrival.

Add to this we have a 9 hour drive to Portsmouth.

As another poster stated, complete the form and send it and you will receive a QR code.

Thanks for your help ! Do I complete the locator form  on Gov uk then I get emailed  a QR code to show that I've completed it ? I can do that ! 

Hi again, just had a thought as you are sailing into Britain it is a different form, looking at the Brittany ferries site you should use the form from Gov website below, i deleted my post with the link to the Spanish locator form required for sailing into Spain. sorry for confusion

Yes, you get it by mail.  Click on the link I gave you before and you will see all the information.

Yes do it online. You could always do the form on the wifi on board the ferry and then produce the QR code. 

I would like to take a printed page rather than a code on my telephone. (My phone is too old). Once the information is sent how long do they take to e mail you back? Thank you.
