What help can I get I have people in my flat that will not move or pay rent we need it for our famy

I have a flat that an agent put a family in while I was away on holliday the apartment was for sale really however this agent had a key from a few years back when we wanted to rent it. I had to buy this apartment for my friend to be able to pay for a nursing home. Now these people are in and will not move and says they will not pay .I had asked previous that we needed it back and they agreed now they tell me they wont move or pay owe me alot of money .what can I do any ideas as looks like they ate there for good and I will have to keep them as I pay the sumsa and comunity charge. The contract they had was not legal made by the agent so really like squatters .

Hi. I recently read that the worst thing to do is to involve the police, in the first instance. That way it can rattle around the Spanish courts for a long time. You must first instruct a solicitor to take a civil action (this alternative has been quite recently introduced) to remove these people, which is very reliable and legally enforceable. They will be out within weeks, instead of over a year, if at all. Good luck, Alexandre.

That is good advice. The law re squatters has changed over very recent years. Legal advice then direct through the court is the quicker option for a more rapid soloution. V
