Hiring and Buying s/h car

Welcome to the village, my sister and brother in law did the same and have hardly managed to be over at all.  Fingers crossed we all get back safely soon.  We bought a few years ago now and normally get over every other month as the place is brilliant all year round.  Personally we always hired from the airport but recently bought a wee second hand car from a friend, of a friend.  Once you are there I would suggest looking on the local facebook posts and start viewing around the area.  And check the local dealers just as you would at home.

Thank you for that information, we hired when we came over to buy in September, but we’re really taken to the cleaners with over charging so we don’t really want to hire so our idea is to get a lift to the apartment and then take it from there, already looking at Garages in close proximity.

Hi welcome to Formentera it really is a lovely friendly village. We too have a holiday home there and bought a car years ago. Much better than rip off hire prices. We bought our first used car from the Citroen garage in Benijofar, excellent service and afters sales. We keep our car at the airport we use Plane Parking at €350 a year, it has unlimited number of pick up and drops offs. Used them for 9 years very reliable. Also much cheaper than taking a taxi or arranging with friends each time you come out. 

Hope we get out this year, really missing our little bolt hole. 

We live in Benijofar and bought a great value ex-demonstrator car from Citroen in Benijofar, on the main road. It’s a family owned business with a brilliant reputation and Mariola provides excellent customer service. They sell a variety of brands. Definitely where we would recommend! 😎💕💃🏻
