Hi all,

OK, I have to confess to preferring white wine to red, but thought I'd share an article from this week's 'Eye On Spain' because it's compiled by the same guy who recommend that wonderful Tostado Viejo cheese - and even I appreciate that red wine is the perfect accompaniment to a good cheese:

Happy tasting!

Kind regards,

Kim

I have to confess I have drank most of the wines listed, although not all on the same night.

Kim, Thank You,

That is a very useful link, some of the listed recommendations ,which we will be trying ourselves on our next shopping trip.

We may need a larger than usual size trolley ! 😉

Cheers 🥂

Hi Castleman,

I agree - one of my favourite bodegas is Los Carmelos in La Marina Village and I've previously recommended it to others on this forum who live in that area.  However, that wasn't the point of this post.

Here's an idea for something helpful you could do for forum members, especially in Sax and the surrounding areas: start a separate thread recommending the local bodega you mentioned: name, location, perhaps even your own recommendations for their wines?  There are some absolute treasures out there - it's a shame to keep the details to yourself.

For those who think that variety is the spice of life, how lovely to have multiple options: from local bodegas to supermarkets stocking great value wines of consistent quality.  Cheers! 🍷
