Mercodona Supermarket is closing for good in Rojales on the 7th January 2023

I know the La Zenia Mercadona is also closing, but they are currently building a new store a short distance away, maybe that's the case with Rojales.
I use the online shopping so much easier, my only concern is if online shopping becomes more popular will the Supermarkets need all these stores, bit like the Banks closing their branches due to lack of footfall & customers using online facilities.
