Lost: rolex watch
beware. during a recent visit to oliva nova golf driving range I was approached by a smart woman who did not look out of place on the range. she asked if she could take a couple of swings using my clubs which I agreed. she thanked me after a few ball were hit and walked off. she came back within minutes and asked if I could help her find something she had lost. I began to think that there was a something strange at this point. I asked her to leave and allow me to get on with my practice (heaven knows I need it !)
she approached me and shook my hand and thanked me enthusiastically and pulled me towards she with quite a bit of force to which I pulled back from her pulling my hand back and asked her to leave.
I continued my game and only about an hour later noticed that she had removed my watch and disappeared
this watch was a gold day / date Rolex and she knew what she was targeting and how to get it.
the police said that she would have been with a gang and they would have followed me all day to get this high end item and that I should consider it a luck escape as I have not been subject to violence.
the item had sentimental as well as monitry value.
so, be careful out there.
despite being in a place where the atmosphere would promote you to have your guard down so to speak, there is always danger.
