Hi

Our itv was due in January but we've been in the UK since then I know it's been difficult to book an appointment but I've tried several times as we're returning in June and cannot even get on the website.

Does anyone have any info?

Many thanks.

All the ITV stations on the coastal strip are booked solid. I have had to book one of the last remaining slots in Xativa at the end of May, which will be an hour's drive for me.

You're probably better off just turning up.

Drove past San Bartolomé on on Tuesday afternoon an there were no more than about 5 or 6 cars there waiting.

Hi thank you for your reply my next worry is are the authorities being lenient and giving drivers more time?

Thank you again.

No, no leeway given.

Just book a test at Ontinyent and have a day out. Make the best of it

On the N332 website it quotes the law regarding the inspection report and says 'once it expires then your vehicle is not permitted to be used on the roads so you can be fined'.   The N332 website is for English speaking people and is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil.

Yes, that is true.  In the past I have run out of ITV and have booked one in a place about 30km from where I live. I always make an appointment and have the confirmation with me and travel on back roads just in case.

Be aware that you DO NOT have to pay to make an appointment.  If you get that you are on a SCAM website.  You only pay at the time of the test.

Can anyone recommend where to buy a second hand car for a reasonable price or is it best to buy lh drive in UK and drive it over? Currently living in Dona Pepa Near Quesada.

Thanks.

Second hand cars are generally more expensive in Spain than UK.  The problem is with buying one there is that you have a very long journey to make with a car you know very little about. Not something I would want to do, as you can't throw it back to the dealer if you have a problem on the way down.I can do no better than recommend FWR Eurocars on the other side of Alicante a'pt runway from the terminal,  at El Altet. I have had cars from there and no one could be more helpful (he's English). He also does all the paperwork which is a huge bonus.  Check out the website, it is arranged by price ranges.https://www.fwreurocars.com/Sorry about the post but it won't let me use any paragraphs.  I have tried to edit it.
