Most of the Chinese stores, if you have one near you, stock artificial flowers.

Just beware that due to our lovely hot sunny  weather, some kind fade quite quickly and the plastic becomes brittle. You won’t get much longer than a season out of them. Ensure they are heavily anchored down if you are in an area with high winds, which I suspect you are up in Gran Alacant.

Good selection in the chinese next to Banco Sabadell. I use them outside sometime and they last various seasons.

Cheers, J

Hi all, thanks for your responses. I have been looking at chinos but need to try various ones as alot more expensive than they use to be when I bought some a few years ago, but will keep looking 😊

There’s a guy who attends the Friday market in Torrevieja and other markets. I used to buy big shrub type plants for my mother’s conservatory years ago and she really loved them. This chap stocks some lovely artificial flowers and plants and for the quality. aren’t expensive.  Much nicer than the Chinese shops. Better sizes too.

Please let us know how you fared!

I buy fresh plants every time we come over. I’ve had my husband put brackets onto the walls and I put planters full of colourful plants onto them. I go out onto the patio in the morning in my nightie ( not a pretty sight) and water them. At the end of our time, I give them to my neighbour and she gets to look after them and enjoy them until she lets them die. Thankfully, she’s becoming quite the little gardener of late. We’re flying over on Easter Sunday night and within a day or two, the patio will look colourful and provide me with such joy!!

Hi Rose, after going to various chinos the cheapest we found was in Santa Pola, some for 2 euro & majority 2.50 but although it will cost 60 euro for flowers & gravel hopefully they will look lovely 🌹 I hope your flowers will be in full bloom!

Well done.  You’ll be so pleased to get your place looking bright and cheerful. Arrived here on Sunday night and plants outside all looking lovely.

Cheers,
