If anyone has any advice we’d really appreciate it. We are in the process of renewing our Non lucrative Visa and we’ve hit a stumbling block.

We have provided our bank statements for the past twelve months but the Immigration department have made an official request for a ‘certificate of actual balance ‘and a ‘certificate of the average balance for the past 12 months’.

Herein lies the problem. Our UK bank (Santander) have said they don’t do either.

If anyone has any experience of this or advice or offer we’d be very grateful.

This may help? When I was applying for my residency in 2019/20, I was asked for something similar to your request, l phoned and spoke to a customer service person at NatWest and informed them what I needed, they also said they don’t ! In fact my statements needed to be stamped officially and signed from NatWest! The only thing they could offer was a supporting letter on headed paper signed and dated by a customer service manager! Also a up to date statement would be sent, as for the monthly side of things needed at the time ( 6 months) the bank informed me l could download and print on line myself and attach these with what they sent, also l translated the letter myself using google translate and attached this to the original, it was the best l could do, when I handed my uk bank documents over at the appointment they were accepted and no questions asked. I know things have changed but if it’s the best thing you can do, then it may be worth a try. Good luck.

Thank you, Peter. Not sure how we’re going to get round it. Just been to Sabadell and they were extremely helpful. I can collect it all on Monday.

Will try to ring a branch in the UK SANTANDER and hopefully someone will help.
