"has any one got one" - quite a lot of people have them, they are very popular for streaming various things like Prime, Netflix etc on non smart tvs, for example

"of better still supplying it" - can be bought from plenty of places, including Amazon, and from most good electrical shops , eg Media Markt, here in Spain.

"Does it come loaded?." - yes it has a load of apps already pre loaded. And you have the ability to load others apps from the store or other sources.

Depends what you mean by "does it have to be renewed each year":

- they are not like iPhones where you need to buy a new one every other month. Many people are still using Firesticks that are years old

- if you mean apps, then these will (or should) automatically update themselves anyway. Some apps may stop working, so just look for alternates.

- depends what apps you want to use... some are monthly subscriptions (eg Netflix), some may be annual, some are free.
