Having read the so many messages of a DIRECT coach service existing  in July and August between Alicante Airport and Guardamar, and the many reports that Guardamar Ayuntamento had recently approved a new and more frequent service between these two  popular destinations.... I foolishly believed it!

So I took the photo of the Globalia schedule affixed on the window of Guardamar Bus/Coach station ,  saw the same in a enormous format on one of the stops outside the Airport and I felt reassured.

And so - returning from Santiago - I waited for the Globalia coach of the 18:40hrs direct to Cartagena with a stop in Guardamar. The Globalia coach arrived at 18:20hts to drop passengers and disappeared until 19:00hrs . Well, we all know what it is like in Spain !  But when I sought confirmation from the driver he was going to Guardamar, he denied it. I told him: yes you are ! Go to the stop, there is a huuuge timetable that says you stop at Guardamar! He was kind enought to go and check and then apologised , no he was not going into Guardamar , he had no instructions to do so.I therefore  reverted to the old method:  C6 bus into Alicante and then the coach to Guardamar, losing inthe whole process almost two hours.

Question: why advertise something in this forum - but also in the media , I think Costa Blanca News ? - that is NOT true ?

Regards

The Coach bore the Name GLOBALIA. The service advertised on its timetable was:

Alicante Airport 18:30hrs - Destination: Cartagena with stop at Guardamar del Segura.
