I have just had some repairs to my electrically operated drive sliding gate which had to have the motor taken off to facilitate the repair

however after the motor was refitted it failed to work and could be due to the remote switches being accidently moved.

We cannot find the manual for the gate to enable us to reset the switches and the electrician has abandoned the job because it would only be guesswork to do a successful reset, he says that the actual motor is fine but also said that he thought it was chinese.

We can still use the gate manually but I would prefer it to be repaired or have the motor replaced.

Any help or advice on a person or company that can do the necessary work would be appreciated.

thankyou,

Roger

Hello Roger how are you

On the side of the gate motor unit there should be a manufacturer name and a model number. This can be Googled to see if you can simply buy a replacement remote. The second option is to buy a universal gate opener that will then need to be programmed to work with your system.

Best of luck

Possibly one or more of the 3 banks.

Thanks Roger I gotcha now 👍

I can see one bank of Dip switches are all in the ' off ' position, but possibly that is as should be for your application

If you are sure the safety cut out  photo electric modules are ok , and no wiring has been disturbed then the advice from Nakabandi could solve it, but tbh if all was working well before the repairs to the gate I, personally would be instructing the person (s) responsible for the repair to get it sorted.

Thanks Pete

I have just ordered one of the receivers at a surprising low price and I will give it a go when I return to Spain in September

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks Les,

Everything was working fine before the repairs however the work was done by a long time friend so I am stuck with the problem.
