Just had coffee with a friend today( lives in Biar, just outside Villena) who has literally green water coming out of the taps, shower, flushing the toilet and the pool is green. Never had this in the 4 years they have live here. They never drank it of cooked with it using bottled water, but now ...

...they can’t do anything with it. Phoned the water company that supplies the water and was just told it’s untreated waste water and we’re not at all bothered.  Now putting in town water supply at a cost of €3.000. I will pass on the link to her. Thank you 👍

Thanks This is the same issue then. Apparently our additional water is being abstracted from the same river, then piped for a very long way.

The water company is being more than robust, but there are thoughts that it might not be tested as much as the EU requires. Even irrigation waste has stadrads, as we eat the produce.

Totally agree with you, our friends backwash the pool, treat with chlorine shock that clears the water, but as soon as they have to top up the water it goes green within hours. She has started to put blue block in the toilet to disguise the green 😳. Can’t use the dishwasher and has to put bleach in  the washing machine. It’s been a nightmare. Now a massive bill €3.000 to have the use of town water. And his knows what this has all done to the internal pipes.
