The trade regulations/qualifications are different here from the UK. So re-certification would be necessary to enable work to be done legally.
That said, plumbing is plumbing. Most everyone has hot/cold water with an electric or butane heat source.
Typical UK-style heating (pipes & radiators) is not common. Many towns do not have natural gas, so heating boilers often run on propane.

If you are moving to Javea, it would be worth contacting SILVASOL whose premises are on the outskirts of the old town. They are a very well known and respected specialist heating/ plumbing company, covering a wide area. They employ multi lingual engineers, although Spanish is the universal language obviously. They’re thoroughly professional and reliable. Previous post perfectly correct re qualifications being different.
We’ve used them several times, including replacing our heat pump which provides hot water, last year. The engineer arrived, said it was repairable, but technically not worth it although up to us. Ordered replacement, arrived following day with heat pump on loan which they connected so we weren’t without hot water and then came back 10 days later with new appliance.
They don’t pretend to be cheap, but provide the service. So would seriously suggest you make contact, they have the usual websites etc.
