I agree with Syd. Always rent first to see if it suits. You will definitely need a car.

Just read your post. Everyone wants different things but all l would say to you is, WHY.

Middle of nowhere.

Need a car.

No public transport.

Miles from beach, etc etc.

We all want different things but im sorry. Ive lived in Spain 16 years and it wouldnt be for me. I ride past it most days and always think that it has a golf course but as l said WHY.

Look around. Torrevieja, La Mata. FREE buses, beach, loads of things to do. Hospital close by etc, etc.

Dont block me for my opinion because we are all intitled to one

As on one of YOUR previous posts - it’s better to listen to comments from people who have experience and I do of owning a property on la finca.

it is a beautiful place - not over crowded or too built up, nor absolutely heaving in the summer months as are the coastal towns - which our nearest is 15-20 minute drive away - so hardly miles from anywhere!

The bars on the commercial apparently have to turn music off at 11.30 and they have never bothered me. 

the places mentioned are always great for a visit but it’s always lovely returning to la finca.

Thank you for your thoughts.  I agree about torr and la mata but I dont want that much action I want r and r and to able to dip into it when I want to.

Totally agree Lisa, we've yet to complete on our property on la finca, we love la finca for all the above points u made, it's beautiful, all year around community, we didn't want to be on the coast that's rammed in the summer, dead in the winter.  We love all the bars on la finca, they all offer different evenings.  We drive, so we happily drive to all the different areas, but will be coming back to our little slice of heaven on la finca, but as Graham has said, everyone has an opinion and wants different things 😊 

Thanks I'm already sold on area just need to convince the wife.  Just want to be sure that theres enough to keep us occupied if we decide we dont want to drive

We have just bought and had ( have ?) reservations about the location. That said there is life on site and taxis to Quesada . We drive and will spend days exploring all that the area and beyond has to offer and return to a beautiful home on a gorgeous site. Life is what you make it.

God so much time has passed since I  posted this.  I am just in the process of completing on a lovely 2 bed penthouse with large roof terrace overlooking the lemon groves in algorfa.

We all want different things a agree but this is my dream soon to be reality.
