Can anyone advise on buying after brexit I will be a cash buyer looking for a holiday home them in two years looking to be permanent

The exchange rate for euros is very poor at the moment is it right to presume this will improve after brexit

The prices seam to be falling a little I have taken a keen interest in prices and it appears to be the norm to offer well below asking is this correct

Due to the horrific floods las t September are there any areas to avoid in the la Florida / la Zenia areas

Regards

Even though you have a property in Spain does not give you any special rights to residency. You will still need to prove that you have enough income to satisfy the authorities you won't become a burden on the state. That income, after 1st January 2021 will be around four fold to the requirements necessary for residency before Brexit. I understand that you will need to prove that you have around €32000 per annum and full healthcare cover for you and your family paid for a full year. Please check on all the requirements necessary for residency after 1st January 2021.

Prices will continue to fall as unemployment grows (over 30%) as well as poverty (at presnet 21%). At this time there are some 4 mio. empty housing objects which no one wants, and some 130k are held by the banks waiting for better times. Waiting pays.

hi Steve thank you for this information having the income is not a concern

However I’m looking to retire in Spain in a couple of years time obviously I will not be having an in come unless I rent my holiday home out

Would you happen to know what the requirement for retiring would be

Killjoy thank you as well I’m looking at March next year all being well COVID wise

It’s a sorry situation with the economy and job losses however waiting I’m sure is the correct thing to do

We won't have too long to see what happens to the exchange rate over the next week or so. I suspect if there is a trade deal, even a limited one, we could see something positive happen to the gbpeur exchange rate.
