I Am non resident and the charges with Sabadell, are ridiculous, I'm in the process of changing all my direct debits to A.I.B as I live in Ireland and I am Pension age so there are no charges .i have so far got the water, Suma and Electricity changed I will have to be in Spain to do the rest ,then its cheerio Spanish Banks ,also if you have two names on the account you pay double on Bank Maintance charged ,good luck

Ho we are due to complete in 4 weeks and the solicitor has put us in touch with banco sabadel. Reading through the paperwork The charges are 400 euro pa. Is this correct it seems alot?

If you can arrange to transfer a regular sum of about 700 euros a month to your Spanish bank, then it is free banking. Speak to them about avoiding such charges.  This has changed and you pay a bank charge instead.

Bankia offered me this option as a non resident in 2019. I was planning on setting it up, but then Covid prevented it. I don’t know if it’s still available though following the Bankia / Caixa merger.
