Recommendation for Sabadell bank

I use Sabadell and find them best of the bunch, just remember banking charges are different to charges in the UK and you won't go far wrong.

Don't go thinking that Santander would be the best bet because although Santander ES owns Santander UK they are run seperatly and are not joined up. Their reputation from what I have heard is just as bad wether ES or UK.

Yes, me too. Just opened an account with Sabadell in Albir and they were great. Good English speaking staff and online services in English too. Only time - through transactions - will tell, but so far so good :)

We use Sabadell in our area of Spain too and they are very good.The website and the online banking is easy and they even answer on email if there are any questions. We were with Halifax in Spain originally and they were tajen over by Lloyds in Spain, then LLoyds was taken over by Sabadell. At first we were concerned that we would be at a disadvantage by not having a UK bank in Spain but we have been pleasantly surprised at how being with Sabadell has been so smooth. When the bank was taken over we had an online log-in problem while we were in the UK and I used Twitter to contact them and it was an amazing customer service as they phoned us in the UK and sorted out the problem at no telephone cost to us. They also have good English speaking staff. 

Would definitely have no qualms recommending them.

I absolutely agree with Soldierboy001. Sabadell is better than Santander
