It would appear that Spain is likely to be added to the UK (Red) list, This is based on the latest figures that show one in every thirty five people returning from Spain are now testing positive. How can that be,  if everyone is tested prior to departure from Spain.

Who has said that? Do you have a link to any official document? If not its just hearsay and bar gossip which should be ignored.

It must be bull****

It feels like there is greater stability in country statuses at least until the next review date.

Spain seems to be fairly stable both in terms of vaccination rates, cases and dominant variant.

I've just read the article you mentioned in the Wales online and it's all if's and buts. I've not read any similar stories in any UK national newspapers or any Spanish papers so I wouldn't take it to seriously. I don't think the story is worthy of that headline.

Hi,

I have seen a similar story in a couple of on-line newspapers, one being

https://inews.co.uk/inews-lifestyle/travel/spain-red-list-next-travel-update-covid-cases-uk-britain-travellers-1150095

If you read the I article it reads like there is a risk of Spain going onto the red list but unlikely given the reasons they explain.

AItch.

As official link found

www.walesonline.co.uk

Have reported and after a quick online search found Hews reported post headlined Red List Fear? That’s if Hew is Welsh? And not bar talk or hearsay. I must agree that all claims/post must be supported by some link, but one to watch as the UK government have meetings planned for next week!!!
