Hi, I’m my experience you only pay the solicitor after everything is signed at the notary. We only recently have done this. I’m not sure why you would pay anyone their full fees before they have completed the works?

Hi Scott

That is exactly what we thought I have emailed him but he has not replied, not sure what to do now, I will have to speak to him on the phone and see where we go from there.

Many thanks for your help

Carol

Hi

We are buying a new build which should be completed in February 2018 but our solicitor is asking for full payment now, anyone experienced this? We can’t really refuse to pay him but I am concerned.

Many thanks

Carol

All my lawyers in Spain request full payment in advance.

I mean you can always ask the lawyer, more than "payment in advance" he can not reply to you ;-)
