I am writing on behalf of a friend who is staying at his holiday home here in Spain, he is from the UK and does not have any Spanish health care cover and unable to speak Spanish he has been feeling unwell for the past few weeks and not up to the flight back to the UK can anyone advise the best and cheapest way to get medical attention here he is also non-resident but does own his own property here.

If he doesn't have any insurance or the EHIC He will need to visit the local private clinic if he thinks he will need a doctors advise otherwise a Farmacia might suggest a treatment. Either way, ask a translator to accompany him. Owning property here does not give any rights whatsoever.

No private health care here is cheap. As Steve said a private health clinic somewhere near his area is the 1st suggestion. If he feels really ill, then the private hospital is another suggestion,.....Here is the link https://www.quironsalud.es/torrevieja /en
You could call for advice but they will want his credit card details before any consultation .
If he thinks it is Covid 19 related, there is a number........Stay at home & call...900400061 or 112 in an emergency. Good Luck
