Hi, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My husband and myself are due to take early retirement shortly and want to move to Spain and become permanent residents. Our adult daughter will be moving with us and be looking for work.
I understand we need to start the process in the U.K, can anyone recommend someone to help us with the process as we want to get it right and not waste time also very cautious of scammers. Thank you, any advice on this big move for us as a family is appreciated..

Hi,

Firstly as UK passport holders you will need to apply for a visa from the Spanish consulate in the UK. Either London, Manchester or Edinburgh.

You will need to apply for the visas personally as the initial application will not be accepted from a third party.

You can apply for the non lucrative visa if you can meet the income and healthcare requirements. You will not be allowed to work with the non lucrative visa.

The income requirements for a couple would be around €34,000 per annum made up from pensions income or other solid reliable sources.

You will need Private healthcare paid for a full year.

Your daughter will need to have a work visa. She will need to apply for a job in Spain and have a prospective employer who is willing to sponsor her with the work visa. Note: all available work in Spain must be offered to an EU passport holder first!

If you get your visas you have 3 months to apply for residency in Spain otherwise your visa will become void.

Best of luck.
