January and February are obviously winter months. Can get very cold once the sun goes down but some folk still sunbathe in sheltered spots during daylight hours. This link is to the Spanish Met Office website and should be reasonably accurate.

Like pinning the tail on the donkey I'd say. Ain't gonna be good either way!

Mary, why not hang on until March, it’s a bit warmer then and you can go to the Saint Patrick’s day parade in Cabo Roig, a fantastic event.

Except March is the wettest month and numerous parades are called off due to unpredictable weather.
Wouldn’t rush over for the St Patrick’s Day Parade either, last years was awful.it was about a tenth of the size of previous years. Maybe with it falling at the weekend again this year, they’ll have more participants.

Yes, I knew that but just wanted to offer an alternative which included the saint Patrick's day parade. It will probably rain at the picnic! Which well known donkey said that ?. Anyway, let’s hope the weather is as good as last year on the 17th. Cheers.

Beautiful day today tho for mid January !
It would take a very brave person to forecast the weather in this area for those months.
7 years ago this very day it snowed here on the Costa Blanca, places were deserted with the Spanish outside taking photographs.
3 years ago this very week a couple came out next door to us and it rained the entire week with strong winds.
This year is was 23C and sunny yesterday and today is forecast for 24C but cloudy. Can't remember the last time we had any rain. Last night was the warmest in this area for over 25 years and didn't get below 14C.
Last year at this time we had the fire on during the day and evening. This year it's been on for an hour in the early evening and that's it.
As they say, you pays your money and you takes your choice.
