Hi,

I think you may need to take the Spanish driving test as you are to late to do the exchange.

End of June isn't that far away now for the UK and Spain to resolve this problem for those in this situation :(

Seems a little tough especially on the older residents who might well have been shielding through much of the Covid period for medical reasons.

Let's hope we see a little pragmatism.

It doesn't make any difference. You should have registered your intention of exchanging your driving licence by 30th December 2020.

Hi Pete,

If you used a lawyer or gestor to apply for residency, I'm surprised they didn't advise you to register for your driving licence exchange before 1 January 2021.  It may be worth double-checking with them; otherwise, you will need to take a Spanish driving test.

Kind regards,

Kim
